The festival is marked with the installation of Ganesha&#8217;s clay murtis (devotional representations of a deity) privately in homes and publicly on elaborate.The festival celebrates Ganesha as the God of New Beginnings and the Remover of Obstacles as well as the god of wisdom and intelligence.<br \/>\nAt Yashwantrao Chavan English Medium School (CBSE), a series of creative activities were conducted for students to celebrate this Day. These activities included murtis making and decorating, singing bhajan and aartis ,making makar with colored chart paper and scissors, on ganesh chaturthi themes. Students also participated in makar making murti making &amp; its decoration.
