Maharashtra Day

The state of Maharashtra came into existence on 1 May 1960. That is why 1st May is celebrated as ‘Maharashtra Day’ every year. Facing many challenges, today the state of Maharashtra ranks among the most developed states in the country. Politics, economy, society, tradition, technology, etc. Maharashtra has performed spectacularly in all respects. That is why our chest swells with pride when we say that we are Maharashtrian. Obviously, the same enthusiasm is also seen in celebrating Maharashtra Day.

Maharastra Day was celebrated in YCEMS with great pride and joy to commemorate the formation of the state on 1st May 1960. The whole campus was decorated with art and paintings showcasing its rich culture and significant contribution to India. The event began with the hoisting of the national flag followed by the National Anthem and a display of its diverse culture through various music, and dance performances by the learners and teachers alike that included lezim, Maharastra Gaurav geet, and an address by the Principal. The celebration ended with performances by the learners dressed as famous Maharashtrian personalities reflecting their spirit and contributions towards the nation.
