Yoga is essentially a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science that focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body. It is the art and science of healthy living.
June 21 has been designated as the International Day of Yoga, which aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga.
International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers at Yashwantrao Chavan English Medium School (CBSE) with great enthusiasm. Students of grade I to X demonstrated various yoga asanas. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed sitting and standing asana, importance of these were explained simultaneously. Learners wore a white T-shirt and black track pants and bought a yoga mat for the activities. They also performed Pranayama (breath control) and other asanas were also taught to them. Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.
