We remember Yashwantrao Chavan on his death anniversary. Popularly known as ‘Leader of Common People,’ he was one of the most dynamic leaders of all time. His contributions to the nation shall never be forgotten.
Yashwantrao Chavan was the First Chief Minister of. Maharashtra. The great visionary had laid the foundations of modern Maharashtra.
He served as the Last Chief Minister of Bombay State and the first of Maharashtra after latter was created by the division of Bombay state.
On his death anniversary We paid tribute to Yashwantrao Chavan at Yashwantrao Chavan English Medium School. Our respected Chair person Sharmishtha Jadhav and our respected Principal Mrs. Lakshmi Arun lighted the candle and spoke few words in his honour. All the teachers and the school staff also paid their tributes.
Yashwantrao Chavan was a strong Congress leader, co-operative leader, social activist and writer. He was popularly known as Leader of Common People. He advocated social democracy in his speeches and articles and was instrumental in establishing co-operatives in Maharashtra for the betterment of the farmers.
