Krishna Janmashtami also known simply as Krishnashtami, Janmashtami, or Gokulashtami, is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. In certain Hindu texts, such as the Gita Govinda, Krishna has been identified as supreme God and the source of all avatars.Lord Krishna’s birth is celebrated and observed on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the dark fortnight in Shravana Masa or Bhadrapada Masa.This overlaps with August or September.
On 23 August 2024, Saturday, at Yashwantrao Chavan English Medium School (CBSE) campus a series of creative activities were conducted for students to celebrate this Day.These activities included crafting and decorating peacock feather,decorative flute, wall decor, crown & krishna Asan using cardboard, sketch pens,Crafting these with colored chart paper and scissors, Jhula & matka decoration on Janmashtami themes. Students also participated in Jhula making matka making & its decoration.These activities were designed to foster creativity among the students.
