On 11January we remember Lal Bahadur Shastri, India’s second Prime Minister, on his 59th death anniversary. Born on October 2, 1904, Shastri’s life was a testament to simplicity, integrity, and dedication to the nation .
Shastri’s commitment to national security and development continues to inspire generations. He played a pivotal role in the Indo-Pak war in 1965 and signed the Tashkent Declaration on January 10, 1966, just a day before his untimely death .
Let’s take a moment to honor Shastri’s memory and recommit ourselves to the values he embodied: simplicity, hard work, and patriotism. His legacy continues to inspire us to work towards a stronger, more united India.
