Maharashtra Day

Maharashtra Day is celebrated every year on May 1st to commemorate the formation of the state of Maharashtra in 1960. On this day, the Bombay State was divided into two states—Maharashtra for Marathi-speaking people and Gujarat for Gujarati-speaking people—based on linguistic lines. Maharashtra Day is not just a celebration of statehood but also a tribute to the rich culture, history, and contributions of the state to India’s progress.
The whole campus of Yashwantrao Chavan English Medium School – (CBSE) was decorated with arts and paintings showcasing its rich culture and significant contribution towards India. The event began with hoisting of the national flag followed by National Anthem and display of its diverse culture followed by Maharastra Gaurav geet and addressed by the Principal Ma’am .

Let us remember the sacrifices made and continue working together to uphold the values and glory of our beloved state.
